Inspire and Achieve

Respect and Honor from Switzerland

On July 21st, two Swiss trains suffered head on collisions. One was headed for Lausanne and the other for Payerne.

35 were injured yet all passengers survived.

Except for one man.

A 24 year old conductor; many of the other conductors described him as a man who was constantly excited and happy with his career.

On August 2nd 3000 train whistles sounded off to announce the young conductor’s funeral. A salute from all the trains in Switzerland to a young man who was doing what he loved most.

Driving a train may not be the most exciting, or glamorous job. But it is that love for the simple things that keeps our world running. I will not use this man’s death to further show my beliefs on this subject.

Ich ben traurig.
